Here's my retail 6700k.

One of the guys on the thread has a screenshot of his ES which is stepping 1, retail is stepping 3 and that chip he was running was a very close cousin of the retail chip already.

In other words, if you can trace the QHQF/QHQG etc part numbers to their hardware revision and stepping number you may strike gold. But there is always an element of risk buying ES.

It is fine with me if can only run at 2.2Ghz.
