NTUC butter is made in Denmark.
It is acceptable.

Do not know what quality level the professional chef is referring to.

If want top grade no horse run butter - then buy Le Beurre Bordier butter. From France .

Can also try Echire butter. From France.

Can also try Paysan Breton butter. From France.

Chef bought some NTUC butter, but the NTUC butter was bitter, so chef bought some better butter to make the NTUC butter better

I suspect this is China origin, packaged in Denmark, therefore labelled as made in Denmark.

I've been to Denmark several times, their farmers take pride in their produce, there are a hell lot of regulations in agriculture and it is bloody expensive. The butter there is good, and there's no doubt about it.
