probably one of the more stressful positions in the Cabinet

Hard to say, there is no major military conflicts for him to resolve around the area.
The possible stress is the procurement of military equipment which should be all sorted out by his PS.
And no one is pushing him into any corner like some of his peers during the House meeting.
My observation is he is leading some peaceful and low existence during his tenure.
(Except for the few incidents that took place in the training area under his care.)
