GPU issue? Flickering black/white pixels

My current rig is going about 4 years soon. Recently these issues surfaced:

Small rectangular black/white pixels randomly flickering on my screen before the screen blacks out and restores with "Nvidia driver has stopped responding and successfully recovered" message.

It may hang the whole system if watching youtube videos or games however it sometimes can go for hours without any hitches on graphic intensive activities.

The pixels flickering stops temporarily when I startup Google Chrome or graphic intensive program but they will still return eventually and I have to close and reopen again.

Advises required TIA!:o

you can try the oven bake method if you are feeling adventurous enough.
