Hi all need some advice. Intending to get a r7 260x 2gb card from tradepac(depending on whether they will have stock). Settled on either the Sapphire or Powercolor. Which of the 2 is better in terms of overall quality, warranty length and RMA service? Also, if i can stretch my budget abit, is the r7 265 a more value for money buy? Thanks.

A much more value card will be the zotac gtx750ti.

Depends on the games you play.

Anything below the $200 mark offers a slightly poorer performance in gaming. Some do not have playable frame rates in those aaa game titles.

How much does the zotac costs currently? From what i see from pricelists, the price difference between 750ti and r7 265 is minimal. As such, i might as well be going fo the 265 for the performance gain over 750ti.

Would you recommend Sapphire or Powercolor, if the price difference is below $15?
Hmmm.......

Sapphire has 2 years warranty by Convergent Systems while Powercolor has 3 Years Warranty by Ban Leong.

I would go for the brand with longer warranty duration, but Convergent Systems is said to have better aftersales service than Ban Leong.

The choice is still up to you, since there is generally very few differences between GPUs of similar chipsets as the differences generally only include:
-GPU cooler design
-Clock rates (Easily circumvented through a bit of OC using MSI Afterburner.)

Do note that after 2-3 years, you are likely to be changing GPUs anyway if you wish to play the latest titles since GPU development is very fast. A mid-tier card today would likely be the equivalent to a top end entry level GPU in 3 years time.
