GTX 770 4GB Sufficient?

Hi all, I would like to check if GTX 770 4GB is sufficient for a) 1600p gaming only and b) is it still sufficient if I add a secondary monitor of 1080p?

I hope to get max settings on 1600p gaming but mainly RTS and action RPG (Resident Evil, Transformers, Dead Space, Darksiders, DOTA, etc), totally no FPS game as I get nauseous when playing them.

For the 1080p, if available, it will be used mainly for reading FAQs or walkthroughs when I am playing game on the 1600p.

I know a GTX 780 Ti will definitely be sufficient but I am trying to spend wisely so I don't overkill.

for fps definitely no but since you're going for rts/rpg i reckon with overclocking it might be able to do around 30fps on most games max at that res

Is 30fps okay for those games? Sorry as I am not too sure what's the benchmark like.

If there will be a lot of creeps/other characters running here and there, then you cpu will play a part as well. It needs to be fast enough, otherwise your game will be laggy due to cpu bottleneck.

CPU wise will likely to get at least a 4670 or even 4770, not sure if the 770 can sustain max settings probably for the coming year or two.

Depending on what games you play? Most RPG/RTS till now isnt that gpu intensive like crysis 3... Maybe for more value worth, 280x 3GB can be considered. 770 4GB price is very close to the cheapest 290 non ref, might as well get 290.

Bro I don't think 770 enough leh... I running single 290 at 1200p single monitor sometimes in batman arkham origin the fps drop to 20 plus le... Not sure on injustice requirements though maybe it's less demanding, so you can try

Haven't tried the red camp before and one reason I am looking at the green camp is because of the blower style reference cooler.

You can max out everything. But your fps will take a dip.

Adding in a 1080p and a 1600p monitor together might not yield good performance.

Minimum go for slightly faster cards such as 780 or 290. Either one will do if you are targeting just 60fps.

Although just 1440p display, playing bf4 on a single 290 with everything max out but only 2x msaa turned on im getting a mere 60fps +/- 15fps. If i turn off AA may be can get a bit more.

Not unless i turn on crossfire and probably received around 90+ fps.

1440p is quite demanding. But you do not need to turn on AA as the pixels are already dense. You cant see the difference when is turned on or off.

6gb will be in low demand because for most cases even at 4k gaming 3gb still can cut it unless you use multiple displays

if your budget is tight i recommend you hunt for 2nd hand in it garage but bear in mind 780s are popular and disappear quite fast

I went for overkill with 2x GTX770 4Gb in SLI.

All I can say is I didn't regret the decision. Minimum 60FPS on Crysis 3 and Metro on ultra with all the AA on.

Interestingly the only game that I wasn't able to put on ultra is Company of Heroes 2 which is probably because of the intensive Physx utilisation. Probably that could be mitigated by adding a GTX750ti to the fray.

Not very updated with GFX but as far as I know... to run 1440P at good FPS... at least a SLI of 770 series.

in your case... SLI is the best direction to go but then future proof or not... Hell man, I dunno LOL.

Cause counting out the specs... we have to worry about direct X support and OpenGl version.
