Ya lo. So subjective. Some people can eat simple with bread each meal while some prefer expensive meat for meal.
Some eat at food court while some prefer restaurant.
Some don’t smoke or drink while some does

So bottom line is, it’s all depends on your need and want. Some can survive with just 1k while some can’t. The fun fact is, money is never enough for some.

8k individually , combine 16k . Bare minimum if want to have 2 kids and need take care of parents . Car not factor in but if sacrifice go holiday can stretch

gov already decided all these benchmarks for us already... median salary is S$5k+ right? that levels sufficient for most singles... at 8k and above then CPF will not deduct additional 20% right? that's the level for married people...
