Hi all. I'm having this Cyclic Redundancy Error whenever I try to transfer files from my 2TB WD Green to another HDD. I ran a chkdsk and the result is below. Is there anything I can do to salvage the data inside the HDD? Tried disk repair and re-plugging in the SATA cables but doesn't work. Thanks in advance!

Have you tried to use cut and paste method.

Don't not do at one go, select about 20 files and repeat.

Hopefully the corruption is only a few files.

Tried a few folders. 2 of them have error "Can't read from the source file or disk"

no choice backup the rest by using the cut and paste method and do a re-format.

Before re-format try to do a chkdsk x: /f using command prompt to see you enable to access back that 2 folders. (which is highly unlikely unless you paid an expert to do)

and also see whether you can read the files inside that 2 folder and cut and paste out some files.

sometimes it could be isolated file corruption, not your harddisk that is faulty.

try another SATA card on a PCI-E slot
if CRC error occur again
can throw the HDD away
