Hard drive parameter is incorrect

Mi can't seem to open my E drive. When i try to open it the message " E:\ is not accessible. The parameter is incorrect is appearing". I also can't seem to open up command prompt to try and solve this issue because it closes immediately when i open it. In powershell, I cannot type any inputs into it as well. My hard drive is a WD Green 2TB

Not really, but i might be wrong too. Cos i only use the pc like 2 days per week, these days...

“Parameter incorrect” is normally caused by incomplete or corrupted readings of the disk bios. It may be caused by bad sectors on the firmware location

You can try to do a Chkdsk directly on the C prompt without changing to the drive letter

Eg. c:\documents> Chkdsk (drive letter if damaged disk) /f/r

Another method you can try, if your data is not important, is to do a quick format and clear the error.
