[EXCLUSIVE] Intel 2014 Haswell-E to pack 8 cores, DDR4, X99 PCH and more - VR-Zone

Finally 8 core CPU with HT..... total 16 threads.... Wow....

We know that haswell is barely faster than IB but given the power savings, its now possible to squeeze 2 more cores with making a nuclear reactor. So, kudos to Intel.

The only downside is $$$.... Its going to be expensive. Perhaps $1.5K for the CPU?

Of course, its not meant for gaming as well. We all know that games do not utilise 8 cores and the extra cache. But it still give loads of bragging rights!!

With 40 lanes of PCI-E 3.0 its going to be one hell of a beast. Imagine quad SLI or CF. 32 lanes used for that, still have 8 lanes for a fast 1TB PCIE SSD!
