I'll be very honest here, I'm a buibui :s22:. So I went for my NS check up at CMPB 2 weeks ago and yesterday I checked and saw that I was posted to Pes BP. So the issue is that, I have High Blood Pressure and I have been on medication since I was 14, I'm worrying about it already because very soon I'll be enlisting, my parents are worried that I wouldn't be able to take it with my medical conditions. I also have frequent occurrence shortness of breath (no history of asthma) since 2 years back. Can anyone advice me on what to do (whether is it to go for a specialist for a more thorough checkup) or just go through with it. Thanks

Training intensity for PES BP personnel is really quite gradual. Also, the culture in the army is such that you are allowed to rest if you feel unwell. The commanders are not there to "tekan" you or make your life miserable.

In my opinion, there is no cause for concern. Afterall you're not the first batch of PES BP intake. Countless batches of recruits have gone through it before you.

Bottomline. Sound off if you genuinely feel unwell. Safety ALWAYS comes first.

Enjoy your army experience. :)

Uh yes, in fact my family doctor who I've been seeing since young (also the same doctor who prescribed my meds for HBP) written a letter to them to inform them of my existing (and or past?) medical conditions. Not trying to geng or what here, just genuinely worried. Also, I was informed that my PES results will be out after a month but it's already out yesterday, which is 2 weeks. So I'm wondering if it might still be subjected to changes?

Since your PES wasn't given on the spot, I believe due consideration was made based on the evidence you have provided. They most probably have determined that your HBP is those kind that will benefit from exercising and being fitter.

If you are so concern you can always pay to go see a specialist and ask them to write a memo to go for another medical review lor. But that doesn't necessary mean your PES will change
