HDB's BTO and MOP question

Suppose I bought a resale flat today, and the MOP is December 2023


A BTO project is launched on December 2022 and it's expected to build finish in December 2025.
Can I join the BTO and make the BTO purchase?




Just want to find out how the system works.

No. You wouldn't be able to apply for the BTO project on Dec 2022.
Based on current policy, you can only apply after your MOP date.

But then you can try appeal to apply for BTO before your MOP date if you have a valid reason, it will be up to the management of that time to approve or disapprove your appeal.
