HDD causes windows not to load

HWC ppl need help. I have a 2tb hdd which have a ton of important data inside. The story goes like this.

When I restarted my com to change some settings, the windows load circle turn forever and i could not load into windows. After hours of trying to load into windows, I decided to reformat my system disk thinking it was some corrupted data. During system install it also got stuck at "preparing to install windows" screen and the circle keeps turning.

That's when I learnt that I should remove all storage hdd and proceed with the installation. Wholla it worked, the install was instant and I was back in windows fresh.

When I hook up my hdd back after installing essential drivers. The same problem appear again. Loading forever at the windows startup screen. (usually the loading only takes like 2 seconds. Waiting like 15mins at the screen dont seem normal at all so i restarted and it still happens).

I presume my storage hdd had hit the bucket for some strange reason. Does any senpais know of any method to access the hdd just for me to backup my data before I could send it for RMA.

yep it is detected in bios. I also have tried disabling it in boot lineup but it doesnt work also

Try attaching your disk after booting up with you SSD.

had this problem too.

Was using a SSD for OS and HDD for storage.

Took forever to load windows.

What i did was unplug the HDD wait for the OS to load then plug it in.

You can try backing up but will take dem long.

The progress bar will say like another 3days to go.

my 2tb hdd is purely storage. nothing was done to the hdd when i restarted my com and bam super long / forever loading screen out of the blue.

IF possible, connect the 2tb hdd as usb drive.

After you plug in, if it doesn't detect, go to device manager, right click "scan for new hardware".
Sometimes it might not work if the mbr is too corrupted.
