Help! Dell U2312HM flickering screen.

Hello all.

Just plugged in my monitor today. It is current not plugged into anything except the power source.

It should show that it will go into power save mode since it's not connected by a DVI or VGA cable. The problem is the screen flickers and there are vertical lines on screen

Is this a fault or are there any fixes to this?

try a different cable and did u reg your warranty with them? maybe can also try to call them
