help for diy pc

hi guys..I gonna try building a pc on my own..have came up with the following parts. can advice on the compatabilty and quality?

gigabyte h97m-d3h +i5 4460
gskill ripjaw 1600mhz 4gbx2
samsung 850 250gb *(bought from lazada)
wd blue 1 tb
msi 960 gaming 100me *(bought from lazada)
fD r5 *(bought from lazada)
os window 7
ODD- any
psu- not sure
monitor- need a matt screen monitor as room with strong sunlight.(budget at most ~250)

have bought the ssd,chassis and gpu from lazada. will need recommendation for psu and monitor. durability will be my biggest concern.

Durable or not, its a heng suay thing. Its not like if you buy a ultra durable board it means it will last very long. Its just marketing.

All electronics components have a tendancy to fail. Whether it fails now or later thats a question.

All boards are made the same.

Your parts selections are fine. But too bad you already bought the gpu. For that price you could have gone for a small top up for the gtx970.

As for psu, it is hard to find a 500w psu in market right now. Including the 600w. Technically, you can just go for 450w Psu.

Try finding seasonic g450 semi modular 80+ gold psu. It should be going for $105.

Monitor can go for Dell P2314H 23inch matte eIPS panel.

hi roy..thanks for ur reply..haha i choose the msi 960 is cause of its looks..and the msi 970 is abt 200 more.

The mobo mayb I change to Msi H97M-G43 which is cheaper. Shld be fine right?

I might be heading down to sls later to buy the remaining parts.

Anw can i just ask is it worth it to pay extra for a Dell U2414 instead of the P2314? although i will be over my budget but if it really worth it i dont mind topping up as i want my first diy com to give me a good experience. so can poison myself to get better things next time..hahaha

If you are street smart, you will get the 970 at just 42x-43x range. Its 20% faster.

Anyway bought already just enjoy.

You can change the mobo. Highly your choice. Aesthetically see what you really like. Stay within the range of h81, b85, h97.

As for the monitors. U2414 is about the same as p2314. Just that it has bezeless design.

thanks..will generally stick to the specs i stated then. mayb i will go take a look physically at the monitor and see which one capture my eye.

next is to worry about the stocks of the psu. hope to be able to get everything soon. currently using a lao cock laptop to post cannot do anythin previous com up lorry liao.

so i just try to find a seasonic psu from 450w to say arnd 800w? is there any cons of getting a higher wattage psu? any brands or model to avoid? understand that the psu is the most impt part..later psu kaboomz the parts kaboomz my wallet oso kaboomz...lol

Anyway to answer your question. Dont just buy high wattage. Just find within your needs will do. Higher does not equate good.

Try see if you can find coolermaster v650. Its made by seasonic.
