Have 8 days in Tokyo in mid december

Where to stay best? Shinjuku or Shibuya or others?

Got any itinerary to share?
Would like to go Shinjuku, Shibuya, Harajuku, Akihabara, Asakusa, Ginza etc.
Maybe fit in some day trips, or 2 day? like Hakone, Kamakura, Fuji Lake, Nikko

Not sure what is worth to go in winter? Any help pls? Not sure if worth to include osaka/kyoto for 8 days.
Thanks! :s12:

Also not sure what is worth to you, this question only you know.

Assuming you book a round trip ticket fly in/out Tokyo.

Travel light and start each day early, get Japan rail pass 7 days.

Day 1 Tokyo (stay)
Day 2 Tokyo -> Nagoya -> Kyoto (stay)
Day 3 Kyoto (stay)
Day 4 Kyoto -> Nara -> Kyoto (stay)
Day 5 Kyoto -> Osaka -> Kyoto (stay)
Day 6 Kyoto -> Himeji / Kobe -> Kyoto (stay)
Day 7 Kyoto -> Hiroshima -> Tokyo (stay)
Day 8 Tokyo (stay)

You get to visit old and new capital cities of Japan, most beautiful castle in Japan, the major cities in Japan, and a place that gotten atomic bomb how many places in this world survived an atomic bomb!

Thanks! :s12:
