I'm looking to make a value of money rig, i only use it for surfing net watching shows. The rig just need to support Dota 2 smoothly; this is my main game. able to support other bonus game is bonus. I'm looking at $600++. Also, any recommendation for 27inch monitor at ard 300 which could goes well with the potential rig. Hope to hear some advise :s12:

Reallocate your budget. Monitor go for the 23inch monitor type. 27inch on 1080P is not good for viewing and the pixels are wide spread apart. Not very good for close view.

ASRock H81M HDS + Pentium G3220 ~ $148
Crucial 4gb 1600mhz Value Ram ~ $55
WD Blue 1tb ~ $67
Corsair Force LX 128gb ~ $98
Powercolor 7750 1gb ~ $128
FSP 350w OEM ~ $39 (1year warranty)
Sharkoon MS140 ~ $54
LG DVD Drive ~ $21
Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit OEM ~ $115
Dell S2340L 23inch eIPS Panel ~ $209 (Upcoming Comex deal)

Total ~ $934. Buy at tradepac. DIY <--- If you cant DIY follow the guide.

If i now wish to have basic (126 or 256) SSD with a 1tb WD black, budget increase to 1k (exclude monitor) anyone could recommend a new list?

Just stick with royfrosty's build. A WD Black is overkill when paired with a SSD and the Corsair Force LX is one of the cheapest SSDs in the market.

With 1k i suggest you get yourself a 8gb value ram instead. That will be a much better choice.

Oh, didn't notice that the monitor has been excluded from the budget.

CPU+ Mobo: ASROCK H81M-HDS+ i3 4150 (224)
RAM: 2X G.SKILL PC 12800/1600MHZ DDR3 CL11 VALUE RAM (4GB) (106)
GPU: LEADTEK GTX 750 TI 2GB O.C (225)
SSD: CRUCIAL MX100 256GB (165)
HDD: WESTERN DIGITAL 1TB BLUE (72)
DVD-RW: LG 24X DVD-RW SATA OEM (25)
PSU: SEASONIC S12G-Non MODULAR 550W (105)
Case: DEEPCOOL TESSERACT (65)

Total cost: $987

Buy at PC Themes, #04-15, and ask for discounts. DIY yourself. If you can't into DIY, go to PC Care & Solution at #02-32 and ask Nigel to help you assemble for a fee.

With this build, you can now enjoy DOTA at max settings.
