Help! Low FPS on 290

I see, thanks guys! Dropping the AA to x2 or off give me average of 60 now, awesome. although it still lags when there is a lot of explosions going on. dips to around 20. Any ideas why now?



ok so what do i do now? magically spawn more money to buy the best card? People like you make the community bad.

It's normal to be getting anywhere from 30 to 60 since you're running at 1440p.
Look at the reviews on the radeon 290 at 1440p on other websites, most games are hovering around 40~80 on avg

If you had been using radeon cards previously, might be good to real clean the drivers before installing the new version. I've upgraded from 7850 to 290 and got some issues initially until i clean up (find the guide in google) the old driver

yes x16 AA.

Borderlands 2 got AA settings meh? I remembered only fxaa, on or off nia, did you meant anisotropic filtering?

Anyway, you can try reducing settings like bullet decals, foilage or view distance settings if you're getting frame rate spikes in the heat of battle

AA setting is the most useless **** I had ever used in my 1080p monitors.

As if AA can make water crystal clear. I can't even see my female char's reflection into the waters.
