if that windows 10 is blind to your mircosof acct, it should work and wont ask for keys to activate it, but if its not i think u might have a hard time to get it work.

There are new intel processors with the Z370 motherboards coming out. There are also the Ryzen processors from AMD. You will need new rams that are DDR4 standard for the new boards. You do need to reformat your harddisk if u want to use it as your main drive. Not possible to just join in and use as the drivers and internal registries are different. You can opt for SSD for the OS and u can just plug in your HDD as a storage drive and deleting the OS/System files.

The new replacement motherboard must have the correct socket for the processor that you are reusing. Check also the new motherboard is using ddr4 or ddr3 ram.

If use back same hdd but with a new motherboard windows 10 might ask for new cdkey because the cdkey is tight to the motherboard. At least that is what happens to me when i replace my motherboard in the past. Other then that everything should work fine but can just reformat if you want to.

Check also if the new motherboard is able to fit in to your existing chassis. EAtx, atx, matx sizes etc.

It has worked for some people so you can give it a shot. A better option would be to do a fresh reinstall. Actually, you should buy an SSD and install Win 10 on that.

The Win 10 digital key is supposed to be tied to a particular MB so cannot be moved around (unless yours is a retail key). However, I have no problem moving my 3 OEM Win 10 Pro keys around various MBs so I suppose YMMV.

Changed Mobo for 2 of my rigs before. U will need contact MS to reactivate both win10 and office.

Either u call during office hours or use the online help support. They will request u give them permission to remote desktop into ur PC and they will help u key in the activation code

The above only works for box versions. If u use oem them gg Liao. U need to buy a new key
