Dear all!

I am new to customizing my pc and i need some help. Not sure whether it is compatible or will occur bottlenecks.

I am planning to get a GTX980Ti graphic card without the need to change my processor and motherboard so i still can be covered another 2-3years before a rig change. I am open to equivalent spec cards [Other brand] that is under $600.:s13:

Current rig setup which is rather old:

i7-3770K
Asrock Z77 Ext 4
GTX580TI twinfrz
16Gb DDR3
650W PSU

Looking forward to your help and thanks in advance! :s12:

A 1070 sells for less or equal, with better performance in every aspect. Ditch that ancient dinosaur choice. HORRIBLY overpriced for its specs. With that card you wont even be covered for another year of future-proofing.

A 1060 is slightly worse in performance but retails for half the price of the 980ti

980? Lol.. go for gtx1080 non ti. Price difference only 100 compared to gtx1070. I hope u overclock i7 3770k to at 3.8ghz at least. I can run i5 3570k at 4ghz on intel stock cooler, so can you. Youtube has everything.

By GTX 980Ti, I assume you mean second-hand. Should be around $400 to $430.

If new, you should definitely go for Pascal, i.e. GTX 1060, 1070 or 1080 depending on price.

Don't worry about RAM. It is irrelevant to your choice of GPU.

1080 seems awesome any idea how to calculate how much watts is needed for the whole setup?

No 4.5 no talk

Joking. But 3770k very easy to get 4.2 stable with a generic tower cooler.
Last time i was setting it to 4.2 with a generic tower cooler, play game never went past 75 degree.

1060 3gb < $300
1060 6gb ABout $350 +/- $30 about equivalent to 980
1070 <= WAIT FOR A BIT
1070TI if you have about $100-$200 more, this is almost like the GTX1080
