Help on budget PC build

Hi all, can anyone suggest a non-gaming budget build for $1000 or less. Anything that can beat a branded PC or cost much less?
Intending to build it early next year.

To include CPU (form factor as small as possible), wifi, Keyboard + Mouse, 24" monitor, OEM windows, 128GB ssd? (dont really need a lot of storage).

Sufficient for surfing, video playback, light office uses.
