Lately when I boot up my PC, I get the following error.

I will press F2 and then it will boot up into windows smoothly.

I did a full scan on my OS sdd using HD Tune and there is no problem.

Is this a sign that some component is dying?

What other things can I check for?

Hope someone can advise and help. Thank you.

Next time, press F1. Go into settings, load default values and SAVE the settings.

Also, change your CMOS battery.

Thanks.

My motherboard is MSI H87M-G43.

I guess it should be using a CR2032 battery?

Any reliable videos or guides to recommend on how to change the battery and change settings (if needed)?

CR2032 is pretty standard.

Each BIOS is a bit different but there should be an option to load default values.

From your question, I assume you have not messed with the BIOS before. If that is the case, when you get into BIOS, just save the current settings and reboot.

as for changing the battery, press against the metal contact and the battery should pop up. I usually use a flat screwdriver. Do be careful not to scratch your motherboard with the screwdriver!

Yup I do not change the bios settings. Usually work with the default values.

Thanks for your advice!
