Hi guys,

I'm thinking of upgrading my PC as i think my mobo is gone case. Whenever i boot my PC, it will run for a few seconds and then it will auto off and restart again. This cycle will repeat itself again and again only i manually off it. Troubleshoot and suspect that the mobo is gone. Specs as below:

Intel i5 760 + gigabyte p55a ud3
Kingston 2gb ddr3 x 2 pcs
sapphire 6870 1gb
WD 640gb black
Samsung dvdrw
Seasonic M12-620w
Coolermaster 690 II advanced

Thinking to change replace my mobo to something equivalent, upgrade my RAM to 8GB and maybe add a SSD. Was wondering if my other parts will be suitable for the new mobo. Hoping to get some valuable advice here. :)

lol i have the same problem too 1 month ago with the same model/ brand of mobo you have. for my case is randomly restart, sometime wun happen but when it happen is the whole day or few day cannot use, just keep restart. reset bios no use one. only fix when i change to another mobo.

fyi, if you change that mobo, you need to change the cpu too. unless you can get a second hand one to replace it.

ram just get any value 8 gb value ram in sim lin. ssd get from amazon since now ssd now there have discount.

your current mobo connector is not very outdated still i5 anyway. so whatever part you can add on it shld be able to use on your new mobo.

try to back up you file before you get a new mobo, as you need to format your OS when you are install a new one

Lol. I don't mind upgrading. So thinking to buy a new board and cpu. That can support future upgrade. Intend to change gpu in the future too.

Some recommend asrock and some msi with i5. Don't know which to get. And for ssd, plextor or samsung? Warranties the same?
