Hi all,

I'm a total noob when it comes to PC parts. A few years ago my friend kindly helped me build a new PC from SLS for a budget price. Now I feel like upgrading my PC to play games like SC2, D2, BF4. Budget best is below 800 and I hope that I can reuse most parts without building a whole new rig. May I know what I should change?

My specs are(as far as I know :/):

Processor: i5-2500 @ 3.3 GHZ(4 CPUS ~ 3.6 GHZ)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-H67M-D2-B3
Graphics: ATI Radeon HD 5500 series
Memory: 4096MB DDR2 system memory?
OS: windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
Case: Cooler Master but I don't know what model

Thanks Guys!

U can upgrade ur ram to 8gb u want. If not sure what ram to buy, just take one one stuck n bring to SLS to ask the retail stores see they have or not.

Ur ram should be ddr3, not ddr2.

U can get a gtx 660ti if u want. On sale now at $250-ish I think. Check for one of the threads here by Corbell or convergent (can't remember. Lol).

Make sure your psu is at least 550w and above~

Add a plextor m5s 256gb SSD if u feel like spending more. Lol.

Or maybe to maximize ur budget, upgrade ram n buy a gtx 760 or gtx 770.

Google to check that ur casing has enough clearance for the graphics card first before u buy~
