Alamak :(

I bought m10 based on the good reviews, no one mentioned anything about the bad ground loop..

In this case, would a noise filter adapter work? Lazada has one selling for 20+ but I don't wanna commit unless I can be sure.

Thanks!

Time to change your home plug or U need a voltage stabilizer for your speakers and spend like an audiophiler :D Dont blame swan m10.

Not trying to blame any piece of equipment just trying to identify the source of the problem and fix it..

Not worth to spend as much as an audiophile for a swan m10 I suppose but thanks anyway!

Hi all,

Need some advise from the pros on audio devices here.

There is this static noise coming out from my speakers - I've identified the culprit to be caused by my homeplug - whenever there is data sending through to my speakers, it will create static noise. It is very irritating as the noise can be heard when i am watching youtube, or even playing online games.

The noise is random and not a constant sound.

Any advise on how I can resolve this?

My set up is:

Speakers: Swan M10
Homeplug: Sineoji PL1800EP

Thanks!

First, identify whether the noise is actually due to the homeplug, or due to internet activity. Remove the homeplug and using your smartphone to become a USB wifi adapter via USB tethering.

Next we want to establish whether the noise is from the computer or via the power lines. Unplug the 3.5mm from the speaker and listen. In this state, use the homeplug as you normally would.

You can also record the sound and we can identify whether that noise is from computer or homeplug. But that only tells us the source and not the path.

There's no definite answer whether it'll solve your problem.
U need to buy & test.

Thanks for your reply!

There is 0 static noise after i remove my homeplug. Hence, I have confirmed that the static noise is only generated when i am using my homeplug with my swan M10. In this case, i can say for sure the source comes from my homeplug. The cause as another user has kindly mentioned could be that swan m10 has bad noise cancelling cable and/or bad ground loop, or the homeplug is generating too much noise.

:(

I've tested using my wireless headphone with homeplug and there is no static.

Noise filter adapter will not work in your case.
The Sineoji PL1800EP already acts as a noise filter (when you are using AC passthrough), as does the surge protector.

Advise you to:
1. Homeplug comes in pairs. Try swapping both and see if the problem persists with the other homeplug unit. Maybe the filtering mechanism is faulty on your unit.
2. Your connection should be Mains>Homeplug>Surge protector>Speakers.
3. Maybe try RMA your homeplug if you really think problem lies with homeplug.
