Help! Unable to set touch ID

Using iPhone 7. Trying to set the Touch ID but after so many tries it always ends with “adjust your grip”.

Anyone knows why?

I think you mistook the message's intention. After the first few times you tap on the home button, it'll tell you to "adjust your grip" to register the side of your fingerprint.. You're actually supposed to move a little each time you tap on the home button do that the sensor can register as much of your finger as possible
