HELP URGENT

I installed a new graphics card r9 270x. If I were to plug in the power to the gpu, there will be beep but the will be no boot.gpu doa? Or motherboard PCI slot problem. If I unplug the power and boot using onboard everything is fine

Only have one PCIe x16 slot.. My old graphics card spoilt.

Nothing much you can do now unless you can test that card in another system to rule out card death. Highly likely your pcie slot is messed up from the previous busted gpu.

Was running a 560ti till like a month ago before it spoilt
Psu is about 2 years old

Errr i thought any socket 1155 can support your sandy? Still have a lot in the market.

actually, this may be the gpu problem.
google "r9 270x black screen" and you will see many others getting the same problem as you..
of course, the best way is to bring down and test the gpu itself first to confirm the problem
