Hi guys I'm new to this hope to get some feedback. Looking to build this:

ASUS H170 PRO GAMING + i5 6600
CORSAIR VENGEANCE LPX 2400MHZ CL14 (8GBx2pcs)
SANDISK PLUS 240GB SSD
TOSHIBA 1TB 7200RPM 2YRS
ASUS GTX 970 4GB STRIX DDR5 (Might get a second hand)
SF LEADEX 550w GOLD F.MOD
CORSAIR 100R WINDOW EDITION

I don't need other parts (OS, keyboard, mouse, etc). Budget about 1.5k

May I have your opinions on any thing that could be better? And do I need a cooler? Thank you in advance :D

Anyway whats the usage on this pc?

As for the i5 chips if u ok with it can change to either 6400 or 6500
As for ur ram, u can change to any brand valueram to save more.
As for gpu u can wait till RX 480 is out on next week.

Overall its seems good. but aint sure whats the total cost after u change those recommended parts. maybe u can do a change. ;)

Hmm will play fps like overwatch, etc. the jump from 6400 to 6600 about $50 i guess it's ok haha. Looking to build it at tradepac, do you think they will carry the rx480 anytime soon like next week?

And also I can't find valuerams on pricelists haha do they carry it?

Thanks for your time :o

well if u ok, den that good. yes they will have but u might wanna call up to some shops to reserve for u. if u really want a GTX 970 with 3.5GB vram vs a RX 480 with 8GB vram.

but still some games might be gpu dependent and some cpu dependent, as for current Overwatch issues is side towards cpu, not sure when they gonna have balance.

yes they do carry, like kingston PC 2133 8GB @46

Build at tradepac? Why not buy from tradepac then build yourself?

why not go for zotac 240GB ssd? Checked the benchmarks and it's faster.. think lazada got sell for ard 100, i rmb can use coupon to bring it below 100.

6500 and 6600 not much diff in base clock, if its like $20 more expensive i suggest just get 6500.

6400 and 6500/6600 big diff in base clock.. will make noticable difference also.

Processor Base Frequency: 2.7 GHz vs 3.2 GHz vs 3.3 GHz
Max Turbo Frequency: 3.3 GHz vs 3.6 GHz vs 3.9 GHz

btw I don't need any CPU cooler? I'm looking at the 212x

No need, unless u wanna build a silent PC or have a bit better cooling for CPU, den go for it.
