Help with PC problem [GPU/MOBO/RAM]??

I play lots of games and lately, my computer started to freeze mid game and had to be hard resetted multiple times.

Today was the final straw as I took out the ram and switched places, the PC is unable to boot up anymore.

All it does when you press the power button is its fan starts up but nothing else. It then releases a beeping noise of (1 long beep, 2 short beep) before it repeats continuously until turned off.

Back when my PC was still freezing, there are times where my PC shuts down instantly and instantly go to the beeping part.

I also noticed that the GPU fan doesn't spin too during start up.

Please help!

try taking out your gpu and see if it boots properly. does your pc have onboard display?

can you write down your specs of your computer?

try taking out your gpu and see if it boots properly. does your pc have onboard display?

The sad thing is I don't have the necessary tools to take out the GPU at hone. I've encountered this problem before and always let my local PC repair shop to rectify the problem quickly. He has now moved to someplace else and I don't have his number.

I brought it to a another PC shop (don't trust) and they tried to boot my computer and it worked and managed to got to the desktop screen. However, soon after, the screen just shut off with the computer still running. They offered to run test (around 1-2 hours per test) to find the problem because they kept deflecting my queries.

I'm sure my PC has onboard display. I can borrow some tools to take out the GPU but am little afraid I might damage the GPU as my friend told me you have to take it out a certain way and protect it from static.

The thing I'm worried about is that I am going to order parts to build a new PC with my friends today and I plan to use my current GPU (Strix GTX 970) in this new PC.

If the problem was my GPU (overheating), how can I check if it's still usable?

The only tool you need to take out a GPU is a philips head screwdriver. No special tools.

If you do not have a discreet GPU, then you are using the on-CPU GPU.

To me, it sounds like 3 possibilities:

1. PSU
2. GPU
3. Motherboard

you don need special tools to remove the gpu.. you basically just need + head screw driver.. to prevent static buildup.. i would suggest you to power down your system and then switch off the power socket.. touch the bare metal casing few times to remove static buildup.. it will be grounded.. or if you have anti-static wrist band, you can use them..

when removing do not touch the chips.. the bare board can do just fine. how to check if its overheating? that one is a little tricky.. i might be wrong at this.. how i test is.. if it can goes into desktop without any artifacts, its good but as soon as game on it, it crashes within minutes, likely is overheat.. but also could be driver issue.
