I bought Asus Lyra Trio but during setup, I cannot perform Mesh on the first Lyra to extend current existing network.
Singtel router is black, ac1900.
Do I need to purchase an Asus router to perform AiMesh?

of cuz you need asus router to perform AiMesh :s13:
Just plug Singtel > Lyra trio (1) by wire, then (2) & (3) by Wi-Fi link can already

Just plug directly to your SingTel. Modem

If u connect to AC router, there will be IP conflict as both routers are leasing out IP addresses

AiMesh and Mesh are not the same even though they are supported on Trio.

As mentioned above, connect a LAN cable from SingTel router or ONR to 1st Trio and setup like below video.

After finish setup, just switch to AP mode if you want both SingTel router and Lyra Trio network to be in same network.

Coz Singtel AC router in Living room. Weird to have AC router + Lyra Trio(1) Wired in the same living room right?
I need Lyra Trio in 2 other bedrooms.
If I replace Singtel AC router in Living room with Lyra Trio(1), can it work?
Will Lyra Trio (1) outperform Singtel AC router in strength and distance?

Internet -> Modem -> Router....... This is my case.
Modem got 4 ports but only 1 port is useable.

Ideally, I want the following :
Internet -> Modem -> Router -> E.Switch -> 3 Bedrooms (Wired Lyra Trio)

Boh bian, this is how it works at the moment, you can't replace singtel router with trio if you got miotv with vlan.

you can try leh, you try setup alr then set trio to AP mode, then you plug out then plug in to your switch then go 3 bedrooms, you see can work a not

Basically Bedroom 1 and Bedroom 2 has good WiFi connections using that singtel router. Achieving over 150+Mbps.

Bedroom 3 faces frequent disconnections.
M.Bedroom cannot even connect.

Ideally, I want the following :
Internet -> Modem -> Router -> E.Switch -> 3 Bedrooms (Wired Lyra Trio)
^
For this method, how to setup as AP mode ah?
Coz previously with asus router, I can go to router website and simply add to AiMesh.
Do I need to go to singtel router website and change settings?

I was thinking of moving Router closer to Bedroom 2.
Putting Lyra Trio in Bedroom 1, 3 and M.Bedroom.

I am not a Singnet user. So I am unsure how to setup the connections properly.
Would like to avoid spending $$$ on another asus router to setup AiMesh.

no need to configure singtel router, the lyra trio, you just use the asus lyra app can already, once you setup already, under operation mode, can switch to AP, then you try plug into the switch, see can work a not.

No need spend extra money on AiMesh.
As I mentioned in my reply to you if you read it, setup Trio with your SingTel router as is. Switch to AP mode and then place them in your bedrooms via the switch. Take a look at the Lyra there's. It has been proven to work perfectly.
