Ok He can increase budget but with one condition from his parents:
Must be Rank 10 in Class in the upcoming Sec 2 CT2.

1.2k possible? He is gonna re use HP 21 inch monitor and some cheap $10 KB and $30 Armageddon Keyboard

Btw need wifi

His current pc is some Pentium with 2gb of ddr2 ram and 500gb storage no gpu

What is parents told him: If he doesnt meet up his promise they will look up the PC in store-room. He is gonna get PC in 2 weeks time. Because he got 14th Position in class so his parents gave him a budget of 800. I told him to say "If u give me budget of 1.2k for a pc i will be motivated and promise to get 10th Position." It worked! :s13::s13::s13::s13:

First time crafting this so forgive moi if its not the best deal out there

Few things u can note is if you prefer to get ssd downgrade the i7 to i5 6500. The money saved use it to get ssd and upgrade the psu to superflower leadex silver 550w.

i5 haswell i5-4460 + h81 mobo = $320 (tradepac)
TOSHIBA DT01ACA100 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA - $67 (lazada Safra 15 off 80)
Kingston Ram 8Gb = $50 (From SLS)
Zotac 1060 mini 3Gb = $279 (lazada 10% discount with dbs/posb debit credit card)
FSP 450W Hexa Plus + Techware F3 white window = $92(lazada safra 15 off 80)

Total Damage : $808

Might be able to discount further more if have better lazada voucher code once in a while
Good enough for gaming, streaming game recording game. Overkill for cs:go, dota 2 etc.
Can check youtube benchmark for i5 4460 + 1060 3gb mini combo should be able to achieve good frame rates at 1080p gaming for graphics demanding games like GTA V etc.

I'm not sure which evil guy quoted you $800 for such build but....

You can get these with the same $800:

CPU+MB: Intel Core i3-6100 + MSI H110i Pro AC @ $299
RAM: Crucial DDR4-2133 CL15 8GB @ $62
GPU: Palit GTX 1060 3GB Dual @ $225* (Lazada SG)
HDD: Toshiba DT01ACA200 2TB @ $97
PSU: FSP Hexa+ 450W @ $41^ (Lazada SG)
CASE: Cooler Master HAF Stacker 915R @ $41` (Lazada SG)

Total: $765

Recommended:
CPU: Intel Core i5-6400 @ +$99
No harm spending another $64 on top of $800 budget.

Optional:
OS: Microsoft Windows 10 Education 64-bit Product Key @ $28 (Reddit)
Check buyers' review first.

Buy others from PC Themes, #04-15.
