Holiday in Phuket?

Hi there am going Phuket with a total of 5 pax! Any advice for the following:

1. From airport to hotel (according to Patong, Kathu District) better to take GRAB or book those transport like Klook ($42 bucks for a van) etc?

2. Transport in Phuket is it suggested to just take those metered cab or GRAB quite common there?

3. Planning to go island hopping/water sports etc. Any advice which are the few die die should see de? Like Phi Phi or Similan etc?

phuket transport is very expensive, unlike bangkok .

For grab : minimum charges is 250b, even for distance less than 5min ride
the further u go, the more expensive ...
commonly used transport is tuk tuk taxi, no meter ...

you can book your own driver . tripadvisor have few recommended ones.
to patong area, should be about 700b onwards for saloon car . 800b for mpv, 900b for van ... is one hour journey from airport to patong area ...

Like dede said, depend on area. Patong is almost 1hr ride away. If not wrong easily 800b.

Phi phi is good. Usually can take a day tour for these snokering island hopping activities.

For stay. Patong is most crowded followed by karon.

For really quiet areas, maybe mai khao.

sometimes during offpeak seasons, hotel prices can be quite cheap.
for example 3* hotels around the junceylon mall can be about 25+ to 35+
4* hotels can be about 50+ per nite for two ...

however, some 4/5* hotels can be at least 10 to 20min walking distance to the mall or beaches. if you intend to stay far, be prepare to top up more for ur transport cost. if ur hotel is at least 10min walk to beach/mall, u wont want to walk under the sun or rain or uneven pathways, be prepared to pay 10sgd one way, or rather 20sgd for two ways each trip ...

Phi Phi, you cant do much for day trip. Your time is limited by the ferry timing.
