Soft drinks are cheap but not free. If Soft drinks are cheap, means more profit if you mark up right?

Soft drinks actually INCREASE appetite leh. What makes people full is plain water. All the restaurant has to do is serve lots of carb. Carb + water = even more full.

so far the ones that me had been to, do have it free flow from the soft drinks dispenser, like those ff outlets

prob is, when it'd dried up, the 'cylinder tanks' not immediately replaced
so what u get is diluted non-carb drinks instead

True. And 99.99% people will buy a drink after eating. Just like any prata restaurant. They will always ask your drink. Because it's a given people will want a drink. And the profit margins very high.
So you can actually lower your buffet price by say 1-2 bucks and attract people who think hey this is cheaper than that. But recover and even earn more through the soft drinks.

But TS should know got some buffet have free flow. But prices will be slightly higher.
