How come starhub can adjust contract price despite contract signed

Don’t know Netflix or what n say need to increase
Initially is after contract finish or something
Now is informed will increase on x date

Then ppl sign contract for what
If we break contract must pay penalty
Then they can increase?
So if they increase a lot then how ?

Isn’t it unfair???

Read the contract to see if this excludes VAS.

Not sure for starhub, but singtel can have promo like free 6 months on 12 months term, so 7th month onwards you have to pay. But if contract do state say $14.50/mth thereafter till 12month, then they shouldn't increase the price.

Please write in to IMDA, if contract is clearly signed, they shouldn't do that

when did you sign the contract (how long more to end?)
and when they inform you x date increase?

last week i receive is say contract end then increase leh

What are you going to do if any company decides to raise prices in a contract?
1 boycott
2 complain to case
3 go to their competitor with similar prices?

Read the fine print, there should have clause like price may subject to changes etc

I also received the notification from starhub mentioned about the Netflix price increased in Apr. But I signed the 2 years contract in Mar 2025. My current plan is homehub + ultra speed with sport at $110 .

It stated The price increase will take effect after my current contract end which is on the mar 2027.

It stated The price increase will take effect after my current contract end which is on the mar 2027.

Did u receive another notification saying they will start on x date after this first notification?

I haven't received the 2nd notification. Maybe it will come soon ?🤔

My current plan is homehub+ ultra speed (all in one)

Have to read the terms of the contract signed. Usually there is an escape clause when it comes to 3rd party service provider adjustments where SH is just acting as the middleperson.
