Approximately:
The universe is infinite, my vows are unlimited.
The universe is finite, my vows are unlimited.
In Buddhism, there is no fixed view whether the universe is finite or infinite. I could be wrong, but at least this is what I was brought up understanding. Instead of fussing over whether the universe is finite or infinite, it is more important to hold onto our vows and do what is right for the benefit of oneself and all sentient beings.
Once again, I didn't say I'm correct, I'm merely indicating the Buddhist teachings that I was brought up to understand.
