Hi guys,

I'm about to send my HP laptop in for repair due to a faulty cooling fan

Hopefully I dun lose any data, but just to make sure, how would i go about completely backing up all the info inside and restore it to previous settings? Assuming that worse case scenario of a full wipe happens

One options is that you store all your data to an external hdd or else you can also do is backup your important data on google drive or dropbox or such servers ...

You should also remove your disk before sending in for servicing.
