Cut down carbs intake and sugar intake.

Stop snacking and stick to water or coffee/tea with less sugar.

Agreed.. But it is very tough for many. Unless the person also exercise a lot and then can "cheat" a bit.

Me. 1.69m and 55kg. Considered very lean

Me exercise regularly. Like jog in average 3 times per week. Distance range from 5km to 21km. I avoided sugary drink such as sugarcane, all kind of soft drink etc but once awhile I will still drink rootbeer float from A&W

Now I do eat chocolate and ice cream to reward myself but that is after I finished my long run like 15km - 21km.

There was a month where I didn't consume any snacks, chocolate and ice cream and all those sweets stuffs. Eat very little rice and lost 5kg in a month. The best way to cut down rice intake is not to consume any drink during your meal. U just eat 1/3 or 1/2 of what u usually eat and after finished your rice. Then consume the water and this will make u feel full.

If u r not into exercise. Then u have to put in effort on diet control which I feel is much tougher than doing exercise.

All those unhealthy food u can't just straight away stop it. Just Do it gradually. When I wanted to cut down on the fried stuff like chicken skin . I consume 75% 1st and then slowly 50% and then to 25%. Now I can consume chicken cutlet without eating any of the fried skin..yes the fried skin is the most delicious but then we have to really give up.

I think it is easier than exercising. The journey will be slow but easier to take up compared to exercising I think.

Based on my personal experience, to have a flat or slight tummy, zipped the mouth or eat clean. Do it gradually and coupled with exercise. Exercising is to improve your cardio and burning carbo is only to an extent, unless you are doing HIIT. After exercising, still need to “control” the mouth too.

Just start somewhere. Can begin with cutting out high sugar foods and drinks, then slowly work towards cutting carbs and entering calorie deficit. Or just go get life-changing medical issue that let you drop significant weight in short time (like moiself)
