Hi,

I have used a Intel 520 SSD on my old Fujitsu laptop for 3 years.

Running on Window 7 and served well so far until the past 1 month, whenever I used IE or chrome, the webpage will freeze quite often.

The freeze problem happened especially in IE more often. For Chrome, the loading of the pages sometimes also take very long.

I have no problem playing video or other application.

I wonder if there is problem caused by the automatic downloading of Windows 10??

I tried to format the SSD and re-install windows 7 but the system do not allow me to saying that there is partitions. I cannot remove the partitions and thus cannot format the SSD.

Can anyone help and teach me how to remove the partitions and format the SSD??

Thank you.

when you try to remove the partitions....what does it say?

I actually tried on the intel SSD software to erase disk but was told that I have partition disk and cannot erase disk.

When I go to the Disk Management, there is one System partition and then C drive.

I surf the net and was told to right click and select delete volume. but when I select either one of them, the delete volume was in grey and cannot be selected.

So I can remove partition and cannot reformat.

I see lah, there's where you are doing it wrong. I thought you already boot into the Windows7 installer. and you cannot do a reformat within WIndows7, because it is still running!

use a windows 7 home edition 64bit burn the ISO onto a disk and bootup from CD.
once u boot from CD, you'll be given a chance to delete the volume(same as delete partition) after u delete, you can install onto the disk

about downloading the Windows 7 ISO, the official links are down. So you have to torrent it, it's fine as long as you use a valid/authentic CD-key. Worst come to worst if you don't have it, lemme know. I got a copy, I see if I can upload it

Hi Peter,

Thank you for your advice.

for this : "use a windows 7 home edition 64bit burn the ISO onto a disk and bootup from CD. once u boot from CD, you'll be given a chance to delete the volume(same as delete partition) after u delete, you can install onto the disk"

May I know if I already have the Windows 7 home edition CD, I still need to burn the ISO into a disk?? or I can just insert the Windows 7 CD and boot from CD??

Sorry, this part I am noob, need your help!!

if that's the case no need to download, now just load the Windows 7 Home edition CD, then restart your pc, then choose boot from CD during BIOS

please take note even after u install a fresh new windows, no drivers are loaded on your PC. you'll need to download the drivers manually from another pc, then transfer to this pc. by thumb drive or external hard disc would be good
