I was playing around with various models of handphones at the Somerset Huawei sales & servicing shop yesterday. I conclude that you get what you pay for, especially in terms of camera. Somehow the phones just get heavier with a higher price (a negative point for me).

If you are not looking for a very fast focusing camera like Mate 9/10 or using it for gaming, then this model is good for everyday use and battery life should be better than Mate 9/10. Its camera is still much better than Xiaomi's handphones in the comparable range (I used several Xiaomi phones before).

looks fine overall. But $299 is a bit exp. A reasonable price point maybe ard $250.

directly competing with XiaoMi Redmi Note 4 I suppose although specs lose out a wee bit.

But somehow it seems Huawei software is more stable as compared to XM. Not so much complains and also their service centre is better too.

How to disable the proximity sensor?

When I make a call, the screen would go blank because of the proximity sensor.

I want the screen to be on during call but I can't find any where to change the setting.

Please help.

I'm using a new spare Y7 Prime hand phone now with a spare Circle.Life SIM card.

I miss the light and small hand phone. This one is quite good with a huge 4,000 mAh battery.
