Hyperterminal equilvalent for Mavericks

Hi Apple folks, just got a MBP and like to know if there is a Hyperterminal equivalent for Mavericks? Tried iTerm2 but it only works for SSH, Telnet,etc. I need to set the baud rate and stuffs to connect serially. TIA

Not sure if Coolterm might fit your needs. :)

Edit: Found The Terminal/SH app screen might work.

screen /dev/tty.[USB device] 9600
