Anyone drives elantra? Any tips to maintenance / modifications?

Driven it for a year and i realised so many things people had made modifications. but i also dont want too ah beng. any suggestions to mod?

Also, anyone know if elantra can make some noise if i cant find my car in a big carpark. LOL.

Hi there ,

Im Driving a Elantra... still stock as of now... and i got it for almost 8 mths already.

1. Upsize the rims +1"
2. Install a BBK (make sure the rims can clear the callipers)
3. Lower the car on coilovers until the arch of the wheel covers nicely.
4. Install brighter/whiter HID bulbs/fogs
5. Supersize the horns

You can install a 3rd party alarm or beeper when you lock/unlock the car.

My ride the audio shop say no need to play, just stock can liao.

I also don't want to mod anymore, tired. I just want to up BBK then that's it.

Every few months I get bitten by the mod bug... after a few weeks I tell myself don't waste money la, mod already not much difference, end up money still inside wallet and car still stock :)

Will there be any diff for changing to K&N filter huh?

Only for the next 100km or so, due to better intake, the car moves faster, but once the ECU learns it, it becomes the same.

The only good thing is the ease of cleaning it and carry on using it without changing.

I see... so the ECU will learn and adjuat to the setting...and it will be back to its usual performance... ?
