Just upgraded half my rig so currently my i5-2500k siting in a new case with a r9 290

however my idle temp hovers around 50 degrees and while playing cs go it goes up to 95 degrees.

I'm currently using the stock intel heatsink and not overclocked.

should i get a new heatsink?

may want to double check your HSF mounting, and also the TIM applied. 95C is too high for stock at load, even with stock HSF. on stock voltage too?

anyways i'm thinking of getting the raijintek tisis, for like $75 from taiwan (will be travelling there so hoot that from newegg taiwan) is it good, i can't find much info about it but it seems to be on par with the NH-D14 from noctua. is it more worth it then getting a simple 212x from sls for around $65?

for i5 definitely not ok

what's your ambient?

did you dismount your hsf when transferring the mobo into the new case?

have you checked if fan of hsf still spinning?

I'd either reseat the hsf or clean up the thermal compound and apply a new layer

ambient is around 30-33 degrees, my room not much airflow so i use a fan to direct air towards the case and me.

I did not dismount the fan when moving the mobo, i was thinking maybe it got loose when i transferred from my old case to my new one
