Hi guys, I don't know if this is the right place to ask do forgive me if it's not.
Firstly, I'm pretty new to this but know a little here and there, but I'm willing to learn as much from the pros.
Here's my situation:
I set out to overclock my old rig cause my CPU is bottlenecking my GPU from playing BF4.
Initially, I did overclock to a mere 3.0~ GHz, but it still cause stuttering. The latest I did are as follows,
BClk: 160
Multiplier: 21
Mem Ratio: 3
Uncore: 6
Vcore: +0.030 Volts
Dram: 1.65volts
That gave me about 3.3~Ghz or so. Did abt an hour of Prime95, no errors, temps are in the early 70s range.
However, problems arose when I try to push it further, from this point, I only touch BClk, Vcore that's all. But at about 170 whenever I did the changes, and click 'Save and Exit', my computer just shutsdown, reboots, shutdown, reboot then go on to say the previous overclocking had error. I do not know where the error is, and when I push the voltage up a notch, this happens again. I have my C1E disabled, Spread Spec disabled, Overspeed protection Disabled. At one stage I had my BClk at 180 and Vcore at +0.060Volts, mem ratio at the lowest; 3. It still shutsdown and reboot without fail.
By the way it's a D0 revision chip
I'm kind of lost on where to begin, someone please help me!! I really appreciate anyone's help, do forgive me for being a newb at this, I'm willing to learn! Thanks guys!
