Mom got a new iPhone yesterday and she told me she wants all her photos from her previous iphone 5C to her new iPhone. Initially tried to backup but an error came out saying that it is beyond her storage limit (5GB) since the entire phone backup amounted to about 5.84gb. Suggested that she pay a little to upgrade to 50GB which she agreed and after so, iCloud also reflects the new storage space (50GB) on the phone.

Another error came out, saying smlj backup could not be completed :s8: so i went to google search and most suggested resetting the phone (holding power switch + home button) which I did, tried backing up again and now it's telling me that I don't have enough storage to backup, what the hell?? It says 49gb free out of 50gb in the settings.

Tried resetting the damn phone again and attempted backing up once more, it just keeps saying that I don't have enough space when I obviously have a sh1t ton of space left on iCloud. Anyone can help? Currently only 600 pictures out of 3000+ have been restored on the new phone.

icloud backup ->restore
is unreliable for huge backup. failed to restore some photo last time I used last Aug iOS8.

better to do via PC or Mac.
-create new userid in PC
-launch itunes and backup
-restore to new iphone

works 100% for me.

For picture i use Airdrop to transfer them.

But my phone only has 300 picture... I do it by batch...

But your is 3000+ maybe should just do it via PC.
