No. You will be issued with generic PT shoes for flat-footer.

Flat foot has many degrees of severity. If you think you need insoles, you gonna report this to your camp MO and get the referral to a podiatrist at any govt hosp or polyclinic offering podiatry. Its paid by 11B during your ns stint.

i was diagnosed, on top of other injuries, with severe flat feet halfway thru my ns.

the MO referred me to orthopaedic dept in the hospital, who referred me to podiatrist, who made the soles and i claimed from 11b, so didnt fork out a cent.

the system shouldnt have changed that much in 2 years

the insole only. i used it only for my boots but u can just take it out and put it in your other shoes if u want (will be quite troublesome and smelly though)

a pair outside like that costs about $300, i think about $150 if you get it subsidized from the hospital without 11b (from what i remmeber)

dont get your hopes up on downgrading though, i got downgraded because i also had a ligament injury, the flat foot was on the way by the way. and that was about 2 years ago

i have flat foot(mild?). declared it in my pre-enlistment medical form and when i went down to CMPB for my enlistment check up, the MO asked me to turn around and tip toe to let him see. was given B1 L1.

i suspect mine is mild cause all i need in a shoe is for the sole to be flat. that time i bought brooks running shoes with a slight arch in the sole and my feet hurt even more so than normal runnning shoes.
wonder how my feet will cope in NS tho :o

Maybe you can try the insoles from Orthotics Lab Singapore, Highly recommend for customs insoles. Provided me with the essential stability due to my flat feet issues. Aided me in various compound lifts.
