This happens with even Secretlab chairs and some monitors. I had this problem everytime I get off my chair the screen goes blank for a sec and comes back on. But since changing monitor, it hasn't done this before. Something to do with some static discharge when the hydraulic renounces when you get off.

May I know which chair you are using now?

I am looking for computer chair now while the intermittent black screen really a weire incident

I've been using my Secretlab Omega softweave for almost 2 years now and didn't change it as it feels and looks as good as new.

The problem is most chairs with hydraulic lifters is the static discharge that it creates when you sit down or get up.

I've actually attached some ferrite rings on the display port cable and it reduced the issues when I was using the Samsung G7. But with the LG Oled, I never had this problem. But the ferrite ring has been on my displayport cable since my G7 so maybe that works after all. You're having issue with your monitor which I think is the same one I am using too. So yeah try the ferrite ring and see if it helps. It's a cheap mod before changing your computer chair. Measure the thickness of your HDMI cable so you know roughly which size to get.

Many thanks for sharing. Actually I don't have the issue with the black screen, it's just that I am using the dining set chair and very inconvenient to move around since it does not have roller.

I have seems some real case and video shared that some computer chair really does cause the intermittent black screen when the chair moving around even when the user are not sitting on it.

I want to avoid similar incident and was searching for an affordable computer chair for more comfort purpose.

Most of the issues are related to the hydraulic lifters emitting static discharge when sitting or getting off. It doesn't create any issues otherwise. But any chair with hydraulic lifters can potentially create issues.

Many thanks 🙏 I will take note on this factor when getting the new chair :D

It's not happening with my Herman Miller Aeron, and it has never happened with any chair I used. IMO it's just that the POTATO PC is having a problem.
