Impressive phone but at that price I would get the Oneplus 15 (which I did). The design of the phone is really nice though and I would get it if it had flagship specs.

agree. just a random example, Oppo Find x9 (not the pro). Dimensity 9500 instead of 8400, local set, about the same price.

The way the Malaysia pre-order is pitched is as if you don't get the original box, but a set of questionable 'free gifts' instead. Only two colors and only the 512Gb version too

This sort of money though brings in to play my other favoured target, Honor Magic 8 Pro Air. Specs are arguably better but the trouble is China ROM and I want Android Auto

It is hard to understand their thinking that their top end model is twice the price of it's lesser sibling even though the specs are much better. Sammy and others are just an incremental lift from the others in their series. Infinix may have overplayed their cards on this one

Even if we're generous and cut msrp price by half, which it honestly might (eventually?)

Xiaomi 15T or Poco F8 Pro are still more rounded phones with Note 60 Ultra just having a slightly better telephoto

The back dot matrix might appeal to the "Nothing, it's so cool" type of crowd
