Influencer Accused Of Misusing Mum's Surgery Funds, Delaying Treatment That Led To Her Death
Who needs enemies when you have kids like that?

Taiwanese influencer Fan Wanqing, 20, is under fire for allegedly misusing money raised by relatives for her sick mum’s surgery.
The delay in treatment reportedly caused her mother’s spinal condition to worsen, leading to her hair turning completely white, rapid weight loss over five months, and eventual dependence on a wheelchair.
Her mum eventually died on October 18, which was reportedly her birthday
Reports claim the Taichung-based influencer blew the money after falling for a romance scam in 2024 and losing over NT$300,000 (S$12.7K) in a failed investment this year.
She then kept asking her mother for cash and even used her credit card without permission.
Instead of mourning after her mum’s death, Wanqing posted a selfie at 1am the next day with the caption “I’m happy. What, you want me to cry for you?”.
When contacted by reporters, she coldly replied that her mother had “died peacefully in her sleep”.
“She had always been in poor health and malnourished, not resting well, or too stressed. My family just sent her straight to the funeral home,” retorted Wanqing.
Wanqing’s mum had previously accused her of abuse, though Wanqing brushed it off, claiming her mother had a mental illness and that it was just her way of “disciplining” her.
A conversation between Wanqing and her sick mum was once circulated online, where she rudely responded, “Get lost and go to hell!”.
Netizens have now branded her as “Taiwan’s most cold-hearted influencer”.
The influencer, who boasts over 40K followers on social media, has a reputation for courting controversy — from allegedly abusing rabbits to driving without a licence at 17 and getting into multiple traffic accidents.
