This is prob not the correct thread but could anyone give a quick response on whether a jet ink printer is better or laser one is better?

Laser, no contest. It is however more expensive.

Whats your intended usage? Each is better for different things IMO. I use inkjet for lab-quality photos and fine art prints, laser for general purpose like documents.

depends on usage

if documents, laser is better, faster, cheaper in the long term

main difference is printing speed and the quality of printouts

If you dont mind waiting 20seconds to print 1 page, or you are not printing a lot then inkjet. laser can print less than 4 seconds per page.

Many people say inkjet will be clogged if you dont print. It is true BUT there is flush function to remove ANY clog issues

So buy inktank!

I have been using ink tank for 3.5 years... 1 100ml bottle $10 can last 6-7months. 1 normal cartridge is 15ml cost $35 and last 1 month

go buy nao!

If printing text documents and grayscale/black and white images only, use mono laser. Toner doesn't dry up or clog overtime.

If printing photos and color images like flyers, brochures at low volume or borderless printing, try inkjet. But ink dries up and clog print head of left unused. Ink usage also quite high, one cartridge can not last long. :(

If printing high volume color materials, choose color laser. But cost of printer and toners not cheap. More for office when company is paying.

I agree with this, which is the reason why I switched to laser printer. I hardly print anything in colour anyway. To date, the toner is still working after 2 years now, and I don't have to worry about clogging nozzle.
