Insenstive iphone 6 screen

Hello.

Recently my iPhone 6 screen has become insensitive and doesn't respond well to keyboards and swipes.
Best part is that the screen would jump automatically to various apps and even call people randomly.

Tried to restore to factory settings but didn't work. Using this phone for 13 months.

Anything else I can do apart from changing new phone?

Mine insensitive but doesn't call or jump. Mine is 6s plus. Apparently I believe something not very right

I enquired around... Screen replacement about 160... Coz my iPhone 6 the same thing is happening

2 POSSIBLE REASON, either is the software issue or the hardware issue, e.g screen sensor

have you tried to do a DFU restore yet? If after DFU restore and it still happen , then its the hardware issue, which you need to change the screen, this is what i am told by the service centre staff.

DFU restore and ISO update is different. you can google on how to perform DFU.

I was told that it could either be the digitizer which has gone faulty, the screen is dirty from all the dust and fingerprints or a case which is gripping the phone too tightly which may cause the issue.

My 6+ affected too. This issue has been ongoing for a while and it affects many iPhone 6 Plus even in US and UK.

Look at the link above, the number affected is growing. Normally after about 1 year of use. Latest finding is that in many cases, it is due to Touch IC contact became loose easily. Somehow replacing screen may solve the problem temporarily as the contact is made good again. But problem will resurface after a while. Apple refused to acknowledge the issue. Apple employees know about it and just ask ppl to pay for replacement phone. Some ppl considering class action suit against Apple. I guess Apple must have considered to be cheaper to defend against these suits rather than acknowledge and do a major recall.

Just found a fix for unresponsive iPhone 6 screen. Open up iPhone using iFixit's guide. The top right side there is a metal plate covering the connectors for the screen. I removed the cover and unplugged the cables and make sure the connectors are flat/straight before reconnecting them. Then reassemble the phone, leave the metal plate out, i.e. don't put back the metal plate. So far so good. No more unresponsive screen and random opening of apps.
